Greg van Bergen
has studied voice
with many vocal coaches over the past 13
years and began instructing in August
2004 as owner and creator of Monstar
Music - Singing and Performance Tuition.
In January 2008 and 2010 he has participated in
Estill Voice International
training
in both Levels 1 and 2
(Compulsory Figures for Voice Control & Voice
Qualities).
In January 2010 Greg successfully
completed all the requirements for the
Estill Voice International
Cerificate of Figure Proficiency (CFP)
and continues to train, study and
research the work of Estill under the guidance of an Estill Certified Master Teacher
/ Course Instructor. |
Greg has received a
High Distinction with the Level 2
AMEB Contemporary Vocal Examination and has
also completed
AMEB Level 4 Music Theory.
Greg is experienced in Musical Theatre
and has had roles in
some of the highest acclaimed musical theatre
companies in Melbourne.
Recently appearing in CLOC
Musical Theatre's May 2009 production of MISS
SAIGON, his other roles in musicals include
"Pharaoh" in the Victorian premiere of Elton
John & Tim Rice's AIDA
(Devanesen
Productions), Sweeney Todd
(DTC), RENT
(Stella),
Jekyll & Hyde
(CLOC), Chess
(CLOC),
Les Misérables
(BABIRRA) in which
he played the role of Grantaire and The Pirates
Of Penzance (PARK
PLAYERS) in which
he played the leading role of Frederic.
Greg co-wrote and co-produced the debut album
for Monstar Music titled "ALIVE" released in
July 2006. "ALIVE"
features 11 of Monstar Music's singers performing original
music.
Greg has also produced and recorded 2 of his own
music CDs, Demonstration and WAR. The song "The
End of the World" from the CD Demonstration
received the attention of Molly Meldrum who
featured the song as his HIT PICK on
www.mp3.com.au.
